Adele's new "Easy On Me" rockets to #1 on the United World Chart with 561,000 points, the biggest debut in two and a half years since Lil Nas X' "Old Town Road" in 2019!

Adele’s new “Easy On Me” rockets to #1 on the United World Chart with 561,000 points, the biggest debut since Lil Nas X’ “Old Town Road” in 2019! 408,000 of “Easy On Me”’s points are from streaming, 88,000 points are from sales and 65,000 points come from airplay! Released on October 15 via Columbia Records as the lead Single from Adele's long-awaited 4th studio album ‘30’, "Easy on Me" was produced by American record producer Greg Kurstin who also co-wrote the song with the Superstar!
The somber ballad explores themes of nostalgia, regret, and forgiveness, and the lyrics are a plea to Adele’s son, asking him to be undemanding by citing her troubles post-divorce. Music critics praised the song for its poignant lyrics and emotional vocals. An accompanying music video, directed by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan and shot in Sutton, Quebec, was released with the song, continuing the setting established in the music video for Adele's 2015 song "Hello", where she is seen entering a furnished house. In the "Easy on Me" video, Adele vacates the house and drives off in a truck as a pile of music lists fly out of the vehicle. "Easy On Me" broke the Spotify and Amazon Music records for most streams for a song in a day of all time, and the record for most streams in a single week in Spotify history (84,9 Million). The song scored a Billboard All Kill, debuting at #1 on the Hot 100, Adele’s 3rd chart topper, and also landing atop the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., drawing 178.2 Million streams and selling 136,300 downloads worldwide in its first full week, ending Oct. 21, according to MRC Data. “Easy On Me” also topped the weekly charts in 20 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, LIthuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom where it has already been BRIT certified silver for 200,000 units!
