British heavy metal legend Iron Maiden have the World's best-selling Album this week! Their 16th studio Album 'The Book Of Souls' tops the Global Albums chart after selling 310,000 copies. 74,000 of those were sold in the USA, 60,200 in the UK, more than 50,000 in Germany, 20,700 in France, around 12,000 in Italy, 9,200 in Australia, and 7,900 in Japan. The 310,000 initial sales are more than the former Iron Maiden album sold in its first week, 'The Final Frontier' also debuted at no.1 in 2010 with 249,000 copies. The band's first album, 'Iron Maiden', was released in April 1980, over 35 years ago! Just behind Iron Maiden is another heavy metal band, Five Finger Death Punch from Las Vegas who debut at No.2 with their new album 'Got Your Six' after selling 162,000 records: 114,000 copies were sold in the USA alone.
Last week's chart-topper, The Weeknd's 'Beauty Behind The Madness' slips to No.3, after selling 135,000 copies. Also new in the Top 10 are American rapper Travis Scott with his debut studio album 'Rodeo' at no.4 after selling 87,000 copies; Australian actor and singer Troye Sivan's fourth EP 'Wild' is at no.5 after selling 80,000 copies; German Rapper Sido is at No.8 with his new set 'VI' and sales of 49,000. Back at no.10 is German 'Schlagerstar' Helene Fischer with 'Farbenspiel'. The album was last seen in the World's Top 10 shortly after its release in the week 45, 2013, when it debuted at no.8 with sales of 66,000. Some additional sales stats: 'Smoke+Mirrors'' by Imagine Dragons sold 10,000 copies last week with a total of 940,000 so far. 'Montevallo' by Sam Hunt sold also 13,000 units last week and has a total of 831,000 copies so far, 'V' by Maroon 5 sold 2,134,000 copies so far, 'My Everything' by Ariana Grande 1,649,000, and 'Farbenspiel' by Helene Fischer 2,301,000.
