After Hey! Say! Jump a fortnight ago and Kis-My-Ft2 last week, a third Japanese act in a row reigns the Global Album Chart. The pop / new wave / R&B band Dreams Come True released their seventh compilation, 'The Best! Watashi No Dorikamu' found 344.000 buyers in its initial week, according to Oricon. It's the only album this week with more than 100.000 sales globally. On the vice-position arrive the British newcomer Years & Years. Driven by the hits 'King' (was no.18 in May) and 'Shine' (this week new at no.35), their debut album 'Communion' moves at no.2 with 92.000 sales. On the next place follows Tyrese Darnell Gibson. The Grammy-nominated R&B singer is also songwriter, actor, author, television producer, fashion model and MTV VJ... an allround-talent. He's seventh studio album 'Black Rose' tops the current US-Billboard Charts with 83.200 pure sales and starts at no.3 globally. Koichi Domoto, one half of Japanese pop duo Kinki Kids, bows at no.4 with his fourth solo studio album 'Spiral' and 71.000 sales, according to Oricon. Fifth highest debut of the week comes from the Berlin based rap band K.I.Z., the new effort 'Hurra Die Welt Geht Unter' is their first no.1 in Germany and Switzerland. On the global hitlist it placed at no.6 with 63.000 sales. Three all-time classics re-enter the Top 40. Fleetwood Mac's 'The Very Best Of' compilation from 2002 jumps at no.30 with 20.000 sales. The band's biggest success was the album 'Rumours' from 1977. It sold around 33 million copies to date and holds no.11 on the ALL TIME CHART. Exactly one place behind at no.12 with also nearly 33 million sales so far ranks the legendary 'Legend' album by Bob Marley & The Wailers. From time to time the reggae classic find it way back to the Global Top 40. Last year in the week 38 for example it reached no.11 with 47.000 sales in a lonely week, on the current tally it turns back at no.38 with 16.000 sales. Finally 'Back To Black' by Amy Winehouse is back on the hitlist. Driven by a new documentary about her life, the album jumps at no.36 with another 17.000 sales, a total of 14 million since its release 2007.
