Korean Boy Group X1 shoots to the top of the Global Album Chart this week with their brand new EP 'Emergency: Quantum Leap' and equivalent sales of 501,000!

'Emergency: Quantum Leap', the debut EP by the South Korean boygroup X1 goes straight to #1 on the Global Album Chart this week with 501,000 equivalent sales, 462,000 of which were sold in Korea, according to Hanteo, and 34,000 in Japan according to Oricon. X1 were the top 11 contestants from the 2019 Survival show, Produce X 101. The group is formed of Dohyon, Dongpyo, Eunsang, Hangyul, Hyeongjun, Junho, Minhee, Seungwoo, Seungyoun, Wooseok, and Yohan. The Album debuted at #1 on iTunes in 19 countries and is currently #1 in Korea on the official Gaon weekly Album chart! The title track “Flash” also hit #1 on several domestic real-time charts.


American Rock Band Tool scores the 2nd highest debut of the week with their 5th studio Album 'Fear Inoculum', their first release in 13 years, which debuts at #2 globally with 362,000 equivalent sales, 270,000 of it sold in the US according to Nielsen Music / Billboard.


Last week's chart topper, 'Lover' by Taylor Swift, dips 1-3 after selling another 285,000 units globally! The Album sold over 1 Million equivalent units in China alone in its 1st week, 867,000 equivalent units in the US and 47,000 in Canada according to Nielsen/Billboard, 53,000 in the UK according to the Official charts, 29,000 in Australia according to ARIA, 27,500 in Japan according to Oricon and 7.500 in France according to the SNEP!


New entry at #4 for Lana Del Rey's 'Norman Fucking Rockwell!!' after selling 198.000 in its 1st week while Ed Sheeran's No.6 Collaborations Project sells another 102.000 units last week and 1.588.000 copies so far!


Lil Tecca debuts at #6 with its brand new 'We Love You Tecca' and equivalent sales of 89.000 while Former #1, Billie Eilish's 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' dips 6 - 7 after selling another 79.000 and a total of 3.212.000 so far!
 

Former #1, Young Thug's 'So Much Fun', slips 5 - 8 after selling another 74.000 and 327.000 so far, while Japanese Superstar Group Arashi slips 2 - 9 with their former #1 Album '5x20 All The Best!! 1999-2019' after selling another 53.000 units and 2.009.000 so far!

 
Lizzo's 'Cuz I Love You' dips 8 - 10 after selling another 53.000 units and 722.000 so far!
