"Despacito" holds at No. 1 atop the Global Track Chart and could set a
new all-time record if it resists another 4 weeks! Only Bryan Adams
"Everything I Do I Do It For You" and Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' have
resisted longer at No. 1, each with a 19 week run! "Despacito" has been
15 weeks atop the US Hot 100 and if on Monday it holds at No. 1, it will
automatically tie with Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men's 'One Sweet Day' for
the longest run of all time atop the Hot 100. " One Sweet Day" topped
the chart for 16 weeks in 1995/1996!
"Despacito" has also been 17 weeks atop the Official German chart, and
ties for the longest run at No. 1 with Boney M.'s 'Rivers Of Babylon'
(1978) which also held the top spot for 17 weeks in Germany.
