Olivia Rodrigo's debut album 'Sour' returns to #1 on the United World chart for a 3rd time since its release on May 21, 2021, via Geffen Records, after scoring another 84,000 equivalent sales and a total of 5,296,000 so far! 'Sour' is also the #1 most streamed album in America this week, and extends its record as the longest running top 10 album by a female artist on the Billboard 200 this decade (44 weeks)!
'Sour' was written by Rodrigo and her producer Dan Nigro. Originally planned as an EP, it became a full-length album following the viral success of Olivia's debut smash hit "drivers license". Rodrigo is the 1st artist in history to debut her first 3 singles in the top 10 of the US Hot 100, and 'SOUR' is the 1st debut album in history to spawn 2x #1 debuts on the chart! The album broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album by a female artist, topping the charts in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US! 'SOUR' won Best Pop Vocal Album and Pop Solo Performance for "drivers license" at this year's Grammys. Olivia was the world's 4th best-selling female artist of 2021, after Taylor Swift, Adele and Billie Eilish as per the IFPI!
The 'Encanto' soundtrack by Lin-Manuel Miranda dips 1-2 this week with 79.000 sales and a total of 2.154.000 since its release on November 19, 2021! 2.063.000 of those units were sold in 2022 and it's the first album this year to surpass 2 Million sales and leads the year-to-date list! The album contains 8 original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and produced by Mike Elizondo, and recorded by various singers, with 27 score pieces composed by Germaine Franco. It has been released in 44 languages, other than English and Spanish! The soundtrack album was a huge commercial success, and topped the Billboard 200 chart for 9 weeks. The album also hit #1 in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and was a top ten hit in various other territories. 

'Encanto' is the first Disney animated film in history to generate multiple top-10 Hot 100 entries. "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is the album's most successful track, topping the UK Singles and the US Hot 100 charts for multiple weeks!


Doja Cat's 'Planet Her' rebounds 8-3 in its 35th week on the United World chart, selling another 67.000 equivalent album units and 3.180.000 so far. 'Planet Her' is the 2nd most streamed album in America this week, and Doja Cat is the first female rapper to spend 40 cumulative weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. 'Sour' was released on June 25, 2021, by Kemosabe and RCA Records, and is named after a fictional planet created by Doja Cat to compare her musical style's shift to travelling outside of Earth and into outer space. Doja Cat exec-produced the album with Yeti Beats, AlShux, DrLuke, Aaron Bow, Rogét Chahayed, Mayer Hawthorne, Kurtis McKenzie, and Y2K, among others. The album spawned several global hits including "Kiss Me More" featuring SZA, "You Right" with The Weeknd, "Need to Know" & "Woman"! 'Planet Her' reached #1 in Lithuania & New Zealand, and #2 in Australia, Canada, Norway, Sweden and the US, spending 4 weeks at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart in the US. It was a top ten hit in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK where it reached #3, and was the tenth best-selling album worldwide in 2021 according to IFPI!


Former chart topper, Morgan Wallen's 'Dangerous: The Double Album' reenters the United World Chart at #4, selling another 59,000 units and 4.311.000 in total! 51,000 of those sales units were sold in the US, and the album holds at #2 on the Billboard 200 after topping the chart for 10 weeks! 'Dangerous: The Double Album' is Morgan's 2nd album, and was released on January 8, 2021, via Big Loud Records and Republic Records! The album features guest appearances by Chris Stapleton and Ben Burgess. In March 2022, 'Dangerous' broke the all-time record for longest duration in the #1 spot (54 weeks and counting) on Billboard's Country Albums chart!


Tyler, The Creator's 'Call Me If You Get Lost' re-enters the United World Chart Top 10 at #5 this week, selling another 57.000 units globally and 765.000 so far! 'Call Me If You Get Lost' was released on June 25, 2021, via Columbia Records. The album features guest appearances from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert & Pharrell Williams among others. Tyler produced the album himself which marks a change in style from the lighter and more soulful aesthetics of 'Igor' (2019) and 'Flower Boy' (2017) to more brash beats and raw rhymes. The cover art depicts an ID card for a character named "Tyler Baudelaire" in reference to the French poet Charles Baudelaire, whose work has been regarded by music journalists as comparable to the explicit nature and themes of Tyler's music. 'Call Me If You Get Lost' was powered by two singles: "Lumberjack" and "WusYaName", both of which were released alongside music videos. The album received widespread acclaim from critics and has been described as a mix of styles, with hints of nostalgia throughout its production. The album debuted atop the US Billboard 200, becoming Tyler, the Creator's 2nd US #1 album. It won the award for Best Rap Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards, Tyler's second win!


Rock Legends, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, slip 4-6 on the United World Chart with 'Unlimited Love', their 12th studio album and first in almost 6 years, selling another 54.000 equivalent units and 339.000 so far. 'Unlimited Love' was released via Warner Records on April 1, 2022 and was produced by Rick Rubin. The first single off the album, "Black Summer", was released in February 2022, and became the Chili Peppers' 14th number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. "These Are the Ways" followed in March 2022. Harry Styles 'Fine Line' reenters the United World Chart at #7 in its 38th week on the chart, selling another 53.000 equivalent units and 6.975.000 since its release on 13 December 2019 via Columbia and Erskine Records. 'Fine Line' is Harry's 2nd studio album and is about breakups, happiness, sex and sadness. It was written with and produced by Harry and frequent collaborators Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon. The album was powered by 7 hit singles including "Lights Up", "Adore You", "Falling", "Watermelon Sugar", "Golden", "Treat People with Kindness" and the title track! It debuted at #3 on the UK Albums Chart and has since been certified platinum. In the US, it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, making it Styles' 2nd consecutive #1 album in America. Ed Sheeran's 'Equals' reenters the United World Top 10 at #8, selling another 53.000 units and 2.792.000 so far! = is Ed's 5th studio album and was released on 29 October 2021 by Asylum and Atlantic Records, powered by the smash hit singles "Bad Habits", "Shivers", "Overpass Graffiti", "The Joker and the Queen", "2step" and a promotional single, "Visiting Hours".

Former #1, Drake's 'Certified Lover Boy' reenters the United World Top 10 at #9 after selling another 53.000 equivalent units and 3.664.000 in its 19th week on the chart! 'Certified Lover Boy' is Drake's 6th studio album, released on September 3, 2021, via OVO Sound and Republic Records. Future, Giveon, Kid Cudi, Jay-Z, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Tems, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla Sign, Yebba & Young Thug all featured as guest artists. The album is about Drake's views on fame and success, particularly his dominance within the music industry, and also explores theme's of disloyalty, tainted romances, feuds, and loneliness. Designed by English artist Damien Hirst, the album's artwork, which features 12 emoji of pregnant women, was a hot topic of conversation upon its release! Justice is Justin's 6th studio album, released on March 19, 2021, by Def Jam Recordings. The album features guest appearances by Benny Blanco, Burna Boy, Chance the Rapper, Daniel Caesar, Dominik Fike, Giveon, Khalid & the Kid Laroi! The "Triple Chucks" deluxe edition, released on March 26, 2021, features other guest appearances by Lil Uzi Vert, Jaden, Quavo, DaBaby & Tori Kelly.
