The Soundtrack to 'Furious 7' is no.1 this week. The Movie 'Furious 7' has grossed over 1 Billion Dollars in just 17 days, becoming the 20th film in Hollywood history to do so. The soundtrack, released March 17, is top of the global Album charts this week, helped by Wiz Khalifa's smash hit "See you again" with Charlie Puth which is the world's no.1 Single. Both album and single accomplish a spectacular jump to the top of each hitlist. The soundtrack sold over 126.000 copies globally this week, mostly in the USA (45.100 units), in the United Kingdom (25.500) and nearly 20.000 in Germany. 'Furious 7' is one of only three albums in the Top 20 showing a real sales increase (apart from the debut Albums).
The other two Albums with sales increases are Sia's '1000 Forms Of Fear', at no.21 with sales of 34.000, and Ariana Grande's 'My Everything', at no.36 with sales of 18.000 this week.
There are eight Albums debuting on this week's chart. The highest debut comes from 45 year-old Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor Masaharu Fukuyama. His 11th studio album 'Tama Riku' debuts at no.1 in Japan and at no.2 globally, with sales of 123.000 sales, according to Oricon.
The most important international release this week was the new LP by the American pop-punk band All Time Low. 'Future Hearts', their sixth studio album, soars to no.3 on the Global Chart with sales of 109.000.
Last week's chart-topper, South Korean's boy group Exo's 2nd Album 'Exodus', slips to no.4 with sales of 101.000 this week and a total of 404.000 after two weeks on the hitlist.
