South Korean Superstar Group, NCT Dream, tops the United World Chart with their 2nd studio album, 'Glitch Mode', scoring massive global sales of 681,000, the biggest weekly sales by an album this year so far!

South Korean Superstar Group, NCT DREAM, has landed at #1 on the United World Chart with their 2nd studio album, 'Glitch Mode', scoring massive global sales of 681,000, the biggest weekly sales by an album this year so far! 'Glitch Mode' is NCT Dream's 2nd studio album, released on March 28, 2022, via SM Entertainment. 'Glitch Mode' surpassed 2.03 million pre-orders on the day of release, the 2nd-highest ever for an SM Act exceeding NCT Dream's previous career high of 1.71M pre-orders with their debut album 'Hot Sauce'. 'Glitch Mode' debuted at #50 on the US Billboard 200 dated April 9, 2022, selling 15,000 album-equivalent units, and is NCT Dream's first entry on the chart! It landed at #2 on the Billboard World Albums chart. 'Glitch Mode' was released just 9 months after NCT Dream's debut album 'Hot Sauce', and is the group's 2nd album to feature a 7-member lineup following Mark's return. 'Hot Sauce' also debuted at #1 on the United World Chart with 1,027,000 equivalent album sales and ended up #4 on the Year-End Chart 2021 with total sales of 3,003,000!


Rock Legends, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, score the 2nd higgest entry, landing at #2 on the United World Chart with 'Unlimited Love', their 12th studio album and first in almost 6 years, selling 208,000 equivalent units. Their previous album, 'The Getaway' (2016), debuted at no.1 on the Global chart with 342,000 sales! 'Unlimited Love' was released via Warner Records on April 1, 2022 and produced by Rick Rubin. The first single off the album, "Black Summer", was released in February 2022, and became the Chili Peppers' 14th number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. "These Are the Ways" followed in March 2022. 'Unlimited Love' debuted at #1 in 16 countries including the United States, giving the band their first #1 album in their home country since 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium’!


Japanese Iconic Group, Kat Tun, lands at #3 on this week's United World Chart with their 10th studio album 'Honey' after selling 95.000 equivalent album units in its 1st week! Released March 29, "Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Sting", are the lead songs! The "KAT-TUN Live Tour 2022 Honey" kicked off April 1 and will wrap June 4!


Former chart topper, the hugely successful Soundtrack Disney's Encanto rebounds 5-4 in its 14th week on the United World Chart, selling another 93.000 equivalent sales and 1.987.000 since its release! it's the most successful album this year, followed by The Weeknd's 'Dawn FM' and Adele's '30'! Released by Walt Disney Records on November 19, 2021, the album contains 8 original songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and produced by Mike Elizondo, and recorded by various singers, with 27 score pieces composed by Germaine Franco. It has been released in 44 languages, other than English and Spanish! The soundtrack album was a huge commercial success, and topped the Billboard 200 chart for 9 weeks. The album also hit #1 in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and was a top ten hit in various other territories. 'Encanto' is the first Disney animated film in history to generate multiple top-10 Hot 100 entries. "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is the album's most successful track, topping the UK Singles and the US Hot 100 charts for multiple weeks!


Olivia Rodrigo's former chart topper 'SOUR' rebounds 6-5 in its 43rd week on the chart, selling another 87.000 equivalent sales and 5.125.000 since its release on May 21, 2021, via Geffen Records. The album was written by Rodrigo and her producer Dan Nigro. Originally planned as an EP, it became a full-length album following the viral success of Olivia's debut smash hit "drivers license". Rodrigo is the 1st artist in history to debut her first 3 singles in the top 10 of the Hot 100, and 'SOUR' the 1st debut album in history to spawn 2x #1 debuts on the chart! The album broke the global Spotify record for the biggest opening week for an album by a female artist, topping the charts in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US! Former chart-topper, 'Oddinary', the 6th Korean-language extended play by the Korean Superstar boy band Stray Kids, slips 2-6 on this week's United World Chart, selling another 84,000 equivalent album units and a total of 653,000 so far! The album debuted and peaked at #1 on the Worldwide & European iTunes Album chart for multiple days and also hit #1 on the Worldwide Apple Music chart for multiple days! The EP also landed at #1 atop the Gaon Album Chart in Korea, the Official Finnish Album Chart, the Polish Chart, and the US Billboard 200, Stray Kids' first album to hit #1 in America, and the third Korean act in history to top the chart, after BTS (방탄소년단) & SuperM_smtown! Doja Cat's 'Planet Her' rebounds 8-7 on the United World Chart in its 33rd week on the chart, after selling another 67.000 equivalent sales this week and 3.046.000 totally! 'Planet Her' was released on June 25, 2021, by Kemosabe and RCA Records and is named after a fictional planet created by Doja Cat to compare her musical style's shift to travelling outside of Earth and into outer space. Doja Cat exec-produced the album with Yeti Beats, AlShux, DrLuke, Aaron Bow, Rogét Chahayed, Mayer Hawthorne, Kurtis McKenzie, and Y2K, among others. Former chart topper, 'The Second Step: Chapter One' by Korean Monster Rookies Treasure, reenters the United World Top 10 at #9 in its 3rd week, selling another 59.000 equivalent sales and 430.000 in total! Released by YG Entertainment on February 15, 2022, the EP landed at #1 on the Official weekly album chart in Japan and at #1 on the Gaon chart in Korea!


Lil Durk's 7th studio album '7220' slips 7-10 in its 4th week on the chart, selling another 59.000 equivalent sales and 376.000 in total! Released via Only the Family, Alamo Records, and Sony Music on March 11, 2022, the album features guest appearances from Future, Gunna, Summer Walker, and Morgan Wallen.
