South Korean boy band, Wanna One, are taking the world by storm with
their debut Album 'To Be One', at No.1 on the United World chart with
massive sales of 419,000 in its initial week (according to Hanteo and
Oricon). The K-Pop boy band is composed of 11 members: Kang Daniel, Park
Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai
Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon.
Kesha's 'Rainbow', the 3rd album by American singer Ke$ha, debuts at No.
2 with 155,000 equivalent sales, 116,000 of it from the US and 10,000
from Canada according to Nielsen Soundscan and 7,900 from the UK
(according to the Official Charts. Ke$ha's former album 'Warrior'
debuted at no.16 in December 2012 with 113,000 sales!
Japan's V6 opens at No. 3 with 'The Ones' and 129,000 equivalent sales,
most of it in Japan.
Ed Sheeran's 'Divide', slips two places to No. 4 with equivalent sales
of 101.000 and a total of 6.905.000.
'Holiday Night', the 9th album by Korean idol group 소녀시대(Girls'
Generation), enters at No. 5 this week with equivalent sales of 95.000!
Kendrick Lamar's 'Damn', the World's 2nd best-selling Album of the Year
after Ed Sheeran's 'Divide', sells another 68.000 copies for a total of
2.758.000.
Imagine Dragons 'Evolve' slips 3 to No. 7, with 64.000 equivalent sales
for a total of 803.000 after 8 weeks on the chart.
DJ Khaled's 'Grateful' moves up 2 from 10 to 8 after selling another
54.000 copies this week and a total of 655.000!
EXO's latest smash 'The War' slips from 7 No. 9 with 53,000 sales. In
its four weeks on the chart it has sold over a million copies according
to Gaon, and is now the 23rd best-selling Album of 2017 according to the
World chart.
