The Weeknd's 4th Studio Album 'After Hours' Debuts Atop The Global Album Chart with 595,000 Equivalent Sales Units!

WORLDS_ALBUMS.jpgThe Weeknd's 4th Studio Album 'After Hours' has landed at #1 on the Global Album Chart with 595,000 equivalent sales units including 444,000 in the US, the biggest first week sales in the US in 2020, and 54,000 in Canada according to Nielsen Music / Billboard. In the UK the album sold 26,000 in its 1st week according to the official charts! The Album has also peaked at #1 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. 'After Hours' was released by XO and Republic Records on March 20, 2020. It is The Weeknd's first studio album since 'Starboy' in 2016, and follows the 2018 EP 'My Dear Melancholy'. 'After Hours' is dedicated to a fan, who passed away shortly before the album's release. On March 19, 2020, 'After Hours' broke the record for the most global pre-adds for an album in Apple Music history, with over 1.02 million users pre-adding the album to their libraries! 'After Hours' is powered by the Single "Blinding Lights" which is #1 on the the Global Singles chart for a 7th week. 

 

New entry at #2 for Johnny’s West’s 'W Trouble' with global sales of 208.000 after debuting at #1 on the Oricon Album Chart in Japan while last week's global #1, Lil Uzi Vert's 'Eternal Atake’, dips 1- 3 after selling another 144.000 units this week and a total of 796.000 so far.

 

New entry at #4 for Sandaime J Soul Brothers' 'Raise The Flag' after selling 138.000 units in its 1st week while NCT 127’s 'NCY#127: Neo Zone' slips 3-5 this week after selling another 85.000 units and 496.000 so far!

 

Lil Baby's 'My Turn' dips 5-6 this week after selling another 70.000 and 514.000 so far while Billie Eilish's 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' rises 9-7 after selling another 68.000 and 5.695.000 since its release.

 

Post Malone's 'Hollywood's Bleeding' reenters the Top 10 at #8 this week after selling another 64.000 and 3.816.000 since its release while Justin Bieber's 'Changes' dips 7-9 after selling another 63.000 and a total of 833.000 so far.

 

New entry at #10 for Conan Gray's 'Kid Krow' with 1st week sales of 61.000!
