The second highest entry is the eighth studio Album from the legendary Brit-pop band Blur, their first album in 12 years! 'The Magic Whip' jumps atop the British hitlist with 42.700 sales, and reaches no.3 globally with sales of 124.000. At no.2 is Josh Groban's new album 'Stages' with sales of 217.000, up 845% from the previous week, when the album was available only in a few countries.
Francis Cabrel, one of the most successful French musicians of all time, debuts at no.4 this week with his 13th studio album since 1977. 'In Extremis' sold 123.000 units the first week with 109.000 copies sold in France. Cabrel's biggest success was his eighth album 'Samedi Soir Sur La Terre' in 1994, which sold 4 million units in France. It's the second most successful album in history there, second only to Celine Dion's 'Deux' from 1995 with 4,4 million sales. 62 year-old Japanese musician Shogo Hamada is this weeks no.5 but is no.1 in Japan with 'The Journey Of A Songwriter' and sales of 80.324 according to Oricon.
BIG BANG enters the top 20 at no.17 with 'Made' (Series: M) and sales of 31,000.
'Chrome',German hip-hop band Dat Adam's debut Album, sold 28.000 units in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and opens at no.18 on the world chart.
