'The Tortured Poets Department' has scored almost 3 times that of the entire Top 20 albums combined!'The album' rockets to #1 on the year-to-date chart, replacing her own '1989' album which dips to No. 2!

'The Tortured Poets Department' is Taylor's 11th studio album and was self-written and self-produced with Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, and released via Republic Records. It was expanded into a double album upon its release, subtitled 'The Anthology', with a surprise 2nd set of songs, and broke several digital and sales records! It is the first album in Spotify history to surpass 200 and 300 million streams in one day, breaking the all-time record for the most streamed album in a single day, previously held by Swift's own 'Midnights'! Taylor surpassed her own all-time record for most streamed artist in a single day. 5 days later, 'The Tortured Poets Department' became the first album to hit 1 BILLION streams in a single week and broke the record for the most streamed album globally in a single week, surpassing 1.76B streams!
