
On the day of its release, March 18, 'More Life' broke world streaming 
records on both Spotify and Apple Music. The tracks of the album 
achieved a total of 61.3 million streams on Spotify in a single day, 
breaking the previous record of 56.7 million for ÷ by Ed Sheeran, in 
early March 2017!! On Apple Music, the tracks of the album achieved a 
total of 89.9 million streams on the day of release, shattering 
streaming records for the most streams in 24 hours, as well as any 
single streaming service, and beating Spotify's number by almost 30 
million streams. 'More Life' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, 
becoming Drake's 7th consecutive No. 1 album. The LP, which was released 
on March 18, earned 505,000 equivalent album units in the week ending 
March 23, according to Nielsen Music. That’s the biggest week for any 
album since Drake’s own Views launched with 1.04 million units on the 
list dated May 21, 2016!

chart, and is the fastest selling song of nearly 20 years. Elton John's 
'Candle In The Wind 1997'holds the all-time record!
This week 'Castle On The Hill', formerly at no.2, ranks a 10th week on 
the chart at no.9. 'Galway Girl' holds at no.11 for a second week.
'Something Just Like This' by The Chainsmokers feat. Coldplay remains at 
No.2 for a third week.
'It Ain't Me' by Norwegian Superstar DJ Kygo featuring Selena Gomez 
soars to no.5 this week. For both artists it's the highest position on 
the Global Chart so far.

After selling another 816,000 consumption units, of which 595,000 were 
pure sales, Ed is No.1 for a 2nd week! So far Ed has sold a total of 
2,605,000 of this album making it the best-selling Album of 2017! The 
album has already sold 303,500 in the UK, 180,000 in the US, 32,000 in 
Canada and 35,000 in Australia!!
The Weeknd's 'Starboy' is the 2nd best-selling Album of 2017 with a 
total of 1,064,000 sales.
Metallica has the 2nd best-selling Album of this week after Ed's Divide. 
'Hardwired...To Self-Destruct' holds at no.2 with 124,000 equivalent 
sales.

week, after shifting 1,789,000 equivalent sales, 1,467,000 of it in pure 
sales (physical and digital). Ed's 'Divide' is the top-selling album 
since Adele's '25' which debuted with 5,7 million start sales. In the 
UK, 'Divide' sold 671,500 copies, the 3rd highest weekly sales frame by 
an album there ever! In the US, 'Divide' had 451,000 consumption units; 
in Australia 97,000, and in Canada 75,000! Ed's former albums are also 
back: 'X' returns to the Global Top 10, after a long time, at no.9, with 
sales of 71,000 and a total of 9,088,000 so far! 'Plus' rises to no.23 
this week with 38,000 sales and a total of 5,103,000 units.
The second highest debut of the week is 'Mission Enfoirés', the 2017 
edition of the yearly French charity gala 'Les Enfoirés'. The 
compilation debuts at no.2 with sales of 153,000!
