Japan's AKB 48 debuts at N°1 in the World's best-selling Albums chart with "Tsugi No Ashiato" and huge sales of 961.531 copies according to Oricon. AKB 48's last album '1830m' sold 870.621 copies in its first week. The soundtrack to the Walt Disney's motion picture "Frozen" returns to N°2 with 135.000 copies and last week's N°1, Bruce Springsteen's "High Hopes", slips to N°3 with sales of 131.000.


Beyoncé's album "Beyoncé" slips to N°4 with sales of 113.000 and a total of 2,52 million sales after just seven weeks on the charts.


Lorde closes the top 5 Albums at N°5 with "Pure Heroine."


New entries include Californian Group Warpaint, who debuts at N°24 with their self-titled album and 29.000 copies sold. Scottish band Mogwai debut at N°28 with "Rave Tapes" and 27.000 sales. Re total Album sales so far, "Recharged" by Linkin Park has sold 300.000 copies, "Halcyon" by Ellie Goulding 332.000 copies, "Night Visions" by Imagine Dragons 2,99 million copies, "The Heist'" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 2,34 million copies, "All The Little Lights" by Passenger 1,48 million copies and "AM" by the Arctic Monkeys 1,26 million copies.




Everything Pharrell touches turns to gold. After the N°1 hits "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" both produced by and featuring Pharrell, the man himself goes to the top of the world charts with his first solo smash "Happy".


"Happy" is a song from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack album. The song was written and produced by Pharrell. It was released on November 21, 2013 alongside a long-form music video presented via the website 24hoursofhappy.com. The song was reissued on December 16, 2013 by Back Lot Music, under exclusive license to Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The Single has topped the charts in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Netherlands and peaked within the top ten of the charts in Italy, Spain, Hungary and Denmark.


"Happy" has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The winner of this award will be announced at the 86th Academy Awards ceremony on March 2, 2014.

"Happy" ends the three week reign of Pitbull feat. Ke$ha's "Timber", which slips to N°2. Eminem feat. Rihanna's "The Monster'" stays at N°3 while Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" featuring juicy J goes up to N°4 and One Republic close the top 5 with their global smash "Counting Stars"

Katy Perry jumps up the charts from N°10 to 6 with her 3rd Single "Dark Horse" off he hot Album "Prism". Lorde slips one from 6 to 7 with her global hit "Royals" after 25 weeks on the chart and A Great Big World's "Say Something" feat. Christina Aguilera goes up 3 from N°11 to N°8. 


One Direction's "Story Of My LIfe" slips one place from N°8 to 9 and closing this week's Top 10 Best Singles in the World is Avicii with his smash hit "Wake Me Up"?


The highest new entry of the week is Shakira and Rihanna's duet "Cant Remember to Forget You" which debuts at N°16. New entry for J-Pop Group Kanjani 8 at N°18 with their smash hit "Hibiki" which is N°1 this week on the Oricon Charts in Japan. The 3rd new entry this week is Korean hip hop Artist Mr. Gae featuring Crush at N°29 with "Shower Later".




Rock Legend Bruce Springsteen is N°1 this week in the World's best-selling Albums chart with his 18th studio album "High Hopes" after selling 294.000 copies. It tops the national charts in many countries with the highest sales in the USA (99.500 copies) and United Kingdom (48.600 copies). "High Hopes" has ended Beyoncé's five-week reign, and her self-titled Album slips to N°2 with sales of 126.000 copies. After just six weeks on the charts, her album has sold a total of 2,41 million copies.


The soundtrack to Walt Disney's motion picture "Frozen" slips to N°3 with sales of 119.000 after eight weeks on the Top 10.


New entry at N°4 for B1A4's new Single "Who I Am" and sales of 74.000. Eminem slips from N°4 to 5 with his smash Album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" after shifting 75,000 copies.

George Michael is back with a great new album, his sixth solo album, "Symphonica," due for release March 17.

It will include his own songs as well as covers including Nina Simone's "My Baby Just Cares for Me." It was produced by Michael and Phil Ramone, who sadly passed away in March.

Michael recorded the album during a 2011-2012 tour that was interrupted when he contracted life-threatening pneumonia.
