Ariana Grande ’s “thank u, next” is the World’s top selling Single this week!


Ariana Grande celebrates her 2nd N°1 Single on the Global Track chart this year with "thank u, next after topping the chart in week 18 with "No Tears Left To Cry”. “thank u, next”  which was written by Ariana herself, has broken all streaming records this year on Spotify and is the most streamed Song. “thank u, next” is currently #1 the US on the Billboard Hot 100, in the UK on the official chart, and is also #1 in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore, #2 in Norway and Scotland, #3 in Hungary and Sweden, #4 in Portugal and #5 in Slovakia! 'Thank U, Next’ is a self-empowerment song featuring Ariana's past loves, and is from her upcoming fifth studio album of the same name! 

Last week’s chart topper, Marshmello & Bastille's “Happier”, slips to #4 this week while "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B and “ Shallow" by Lady GaGa & Bradley Cooper occupy the #2 and #3 spots respectively. 

Powered by the Queen biopic, the band's legendary six-minute "Bohemian Rhapsody" is back on the global track chart at #5 for a fourth time in history after first reaching #2 in December 1975, after its release. 16 years later, after Freddie Mercury's death, the song rebound to #4. In April 1992, the song charted for a third time at #8, after being featured in the film 'Wayne's World'. And now, 16 years later, it is charting again due the Queen biopic movie of the same name!

In its 2nd week atop the Global chart, EXO's fifth studio album 'Don't Mess Up My Tempo' has sold over 1.2 million copies so far making Exo a quintuple million-selling group. During their career, EXO has sold over 10 million+ across all albums! On November 12, the album debuted at number 23 on the US Billboard 200, making it EXO's highest-charting album in the United States with 23,000 album-equivalent units, including 19,000 pure album sales. Exo are the third K-pop group to achieve a top 40 album in the US, after BTS and Blackpink, and the 3rd K-pop Act with three or more entries on the Billboard 200! The Album debuted at N°1 on the Gaon weekly Album Chart in Korea and at #3 on the Oricon weekly Album chart in Japan. It has also debuted at #19 on the Digital Albums chart in the UK and is Top 100 in Australlia, Belgium, Canada, the Netherlands and #191 in France!

 

'A Star Is Born' by Lady GaGa & Bradley Cooper holds tight at #2 after selling another 173.000 equivalent sales and a total of 1.17 million so far!

 

This week's highest debut at no.3 with sales of 131.000 is 'Not All Hereos Wear Capes', the solo debut album by American record producer and songwriter Leland Tyler Wayne, better known as Metro Boomin.

 

Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' climbs from 8 to #4 after selling another 127.000 units this week and 261.000 since its release! 

 

New entry at #5 for TWICE and their brand new Album 'YES or YES' with sales of 114.000 in its 1st week!

 

Johnny Hallyday's posthumous Album, 'Mon Pays C'est L'Amour' slips 4 - 6 after selling another 75.000 units and over a Million copies so far!

 

Drake's 'Scorpion' slips 6 - 7 after selling another 69.000 units and a total of 3.839.000 so far!

 

Queen's 'The Platinum Collection' holds at #9 after selling another 66.000 copies for a total of 1.326.000 so far and Barbra Streisand's brand new Album 'Walls' debuts at #10 with equivalent sales of 65.000!

Exo's 'Don't Mess Up My Tempo' is N°1 on this week's Global Album Chart. The 5th studio Album by the South Korean/Chinese boy group was released on Friday, November 2. In South Korea the chart-week ends Sunday. Even though the sales confirmed by Gaon are only the start sales for the first day of release, 463,000, the Band still managed to top the Global chart in one day!

The Soundtrack to the romantic Hollywood drama 'A Star Is Born', starring Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper, holds at #2 after selling another 194,000 equivalent sales, for a total of nearly one million after four weeks on the Global chart!

Andrea Bocelli debuts on the Global Album chart this week at #3 with his chart topping new Album  ‘Si’ which is curently n°1 on both the Billboard 200 Album chart in the US and the Official UK Album chart! Bocelli’s ‘Si’ sells 176.000 equivalent copies globally in its 1st week!

Johnny Hallyday’s ‘Mon Pays, Mon Amour’ is #4 this week after selling another 123.000 copies and a total of 928.000 so far!
 
Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ slips 3 spots to #8 after selling 73.000 equivalent sales this week for a total of 3.770.000. 

Joji debuts at #6 with ‘Ballads 1’ and sales of 68.000 and The Soundtrack to the Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is #6 with sales of  68.000 and a total of 134.000 so far. 

Tony Lanez debuts at #8 with ‘Love Me Now’ and equivalent sales of 68.000!

Lil Wayne’s ‘The Carter V’ sllips 7 - 9 with sales of 64.000 for a total of 956.000.

Post Malone’s ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys closes the Top 10 on the Global Album chart after selling another 64.000 equivalent sales for a total of 3.523.000 so far since its release!

Dance-rock track “Happier" by American electronic music producer marshmello and British indie rock band Bastille has finally made it to the top of the Global Track chart! Its Marshmello’s and Bastille’s 1st global N°1! Already on Tuesday, when “Happier” reached its current peak at N°3 on the Billboard Hot 100, Marshmello and Bastille also hit new career peaks! It's Marshmello's 1st top 5 debut in America, while Bastille returns to the Hot 100 Top 5 for the 2nd time following their breakthrough single “Pompeii” which peaked at #5 in 2015! Since its Aug. 17 release, "Happier" has been mainly powered by streaming and digital sales. Marshmello’s manager, Moe Shalizi, says the song’s relatability is the secret to its success: “It just hits you in the feels immediately. My colleague James Sandom, who manages Bastille, sent an email asking if I would take a listen to a demo he had from Dan Smith, frontman of Bastille. I couldn’t get it out of my head. I immediately sent it to Marshmello, who felt the exact same way. He loved it so much that he finished a new version of the song in three days.” 

 

Back to the top 10, and after 10 non-consecutive weeks at the summit, "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B finally slips to #2. 

 

“Shallow" by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper holds for another week at #3 while DJ Snake's "Taki Taki” ft Selena Gomez, Cardi B & Ozuna moves up one spot to #4. 

 

Calvin Harris & Sam Smith's “Promises” slips one spot to #5 while Dynoro's “In My Mind” with Gigi D'Agostino holds at #6.

 

The highest entry on this week’s Top 10 is Japanese Group Arashi at #7 with their smash hit “Kimi No Uta” which debuted at #1 on the Oricon weekly chart in Japan. It’s the Group’s 36th Global Top 10 entry on the chart. 

 

Bad Bunny's “Mia” ft. Drake holds at #8, Benny Blanco's's “Eastside” with Halsey & Khalid holds at #9 and closing this week's Top 10 is Kodak Black's "Zeze" ft Travis Scott & Offset!
