Madonna is still the reigning Queen of Pop! In fact, Madge beat out Lady GagaBeyoncé and Taylor Swift as the highest-paid woman in music this year. According to Forbes, Madonna earned an astounding $125 million over the last twelve months thanks to her MDNA tour and a large cut of her Material Girl clothing line with Macy's.

Gaga followed closely behind in the No. 2 spot. Mother Monster raked in a cool $80 million with the help of her ARTPOP album as well as her most recent world tour despite the fact that it was cut short due to a hip injury.

T. Swift landed in third place with $55 million while Beyoncé earned $53 million. Queen Bey makes over $2 million for every single show she plays and there are 123 shows in her Mrs. Carter World Tour. Beyoncé also reaps cash from her H&M and Pepsi deals.

Jennifer Lopez is fifth with $45 million due to her salary on American idol. She also credits a successful world tour and starring role in Q'Viva, a Latin song competition show for Fox.

MTV says Miley Cyrus is the best artist of the year. They announced yesterday, that her VMA duet "We Can't Stop" and "Blurred Lines" was the year's most watched video on MTV websites. The MTV artist site devoted to Miley has had more visits than any other artist's.

"We Can't Stop," "Wrecking Ball" and "Bangerz" are all huge hits.

One Direction was MTV's Artist last year, and Katy Perry won the year before.

This year, Cyrus was an easy choice, said Amy Doyle, head of MTV's music and talent programming strategy. "She dominated the music charts and critics' best-of lists while creating some of the year's most memorable moments."

While there is still no date for the release of Beyoncés new album, Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer revealed that the singer will definitely have one out in the New Year.

Beyoncé's last solo album, '4', was released in 2011. Pharrell Williams recently said that he's working on Beyoncé's new album and that it is almost finished and is "crazy".

Beyoncé has unveiled a handful of new songs in 2013, including the track 'Grown Woman', which was premiered via a Pepsi advert show during the half-time show of this year's Super Bowl, and 'Standing On The Sun', which she played in full for the first time at a gig in Belgium.

Last month (November 23), 'God Made You Beautiful' appeared online after being given away as an exclusive track to fans pre-ordering her 'Life is But a Dream' documentary.

The album, released on Dec. 3, may sell 120,000 copies in America alone by Sunday, Dec. 8.

Britney will be contending for the No.1 spot with Country Superstar Garth Brooks and his new Album "Blame It All On My Roots," which could sell upwards of 150,000. She will also be contending with One Direction's current No. 1, "Midnight Memories," and the Robertsons' "Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas" album, all huge sellers.

Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" is also a contender.

"Britney Jean" is Britney's eighth studio album. All seven of her previous studio Albums have reached the top, with the exception of "Blackout" in 2007.
