Artpop debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 258,000 copies sold in its first week, earning Gaga her second consecutive number-one album  and becoming the third-largest sales week for a female artist in 2013, following Katy Perry's Prism and Miley Cyrus' Bangerz. Work on the album began shortly after the launch of Born This Way in 2011, and consumed much of 2012. Gaga recruited a variety of producers to help engineer Artpop, including Madeon, Zedd, and longtime collaborators RedOne and DJ White Shadow. It also features guest appearances from R. Kelly, T.I., Twista, and Too Short. Initially planned for release in early 2013, a hip injury Gaga sustained during the Born This Way Ball delayed the project for several months.

Described by the artist as "a celebration and a poetic musical journey", Gaga felt Artpop represented a musical departure from Born This Way. Its lead single, "Applause", was released on August 12, 2013, and peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Do What U Want", was released on October 21, 2013.

Imagine Dragons' Video "On Top Of The World' Is Not What Fans Would Expect

"It's a very different video; if you've watched our videos, you know to expect the unexpected. But I think this is my favorite," says frontman Dan Reynolds; "There's a lot going on it it, some if it is subliminal. 'Sno Gard.' I'll say that. It has no meaning to you, but when you see the video, you'll be like 'Sno Gard . "
"Sno Gard" is "Dragons" spelled backwards and pops up several times in the clip. A boy has it written on his T-shirt, and when the broadcast of the band's faked moon landing cuts out, it's seen on TV screens.
The new video refers to the past and films of Stanley Kubrick ("The Shining," "2001: A Space Odyssey") and there is a clever nod to the "Paul is Dead" urban legend that surrounded the Beatles. The video is surreal and subliminal ... The Dragons wear facial hair in the clip proving they are still not too tired to have some fun.
"It also probably has something to do with sleep deprivation, like, when you just think everything is hilarious," Reynolds said. "We've been blown away by this past year, our heads are spinning, we need to go collect out minds and take in what's going on. I don't think any of us understand what this past year has been ... and maybe we all need a nap or something."
And what a year! Imagine Dragons have one of the top selling albums of the past 12 months with sales of over 2 million!
