Their last Album 'Away From The World', released 6 years ago, also went to n°1 on the Global Album Chart with sales of 275,000 in its 1st week. 

 

Japanese Band, the Sandaime 三代目J Soul Brothers, debut at N°2 with their 7th studio LP 'Future' and equivalent sales of 186,000, according to Oricon. 

 

#KanyeWest debuts at n°3 with 'Kids See Ghosts', a collab with Kid Cudi, shifting 179.000 equivalent units while #PostMalone's 'Beerbongs & Bentleys', rebounds 1 spot to n°4 with equivalent sales this week of 142.000 in its 7th week and a total of 1.753.000 so far.

Shawn Mendes' eponymous Album tops this week's Global Album chart, with 302,000 equivalent sales, 182,000 of which in the US, 32,000 in Canada and 23,000 from the UK. 

 

The Album debuted at N°1 this week in the US, replacing BTS's 'Love Yourself: Tear' on the Billboard 200 with 182,000 album-equivalent units including 142,000 pure Album sales, becoming Mendes' 3d consecutive US N°1 album! It also topped the Billboard Chart in Canada with 32,000 album-equivalent units, becoming Mendes' third Canadian N°1 Album. The Album has also debuted at N°1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, giving Mendes his 1st N°1 Album in Australia! Its also N°1 in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. The Album debuted at N°2 in Denmark, Eire, Italy, Korea, New Zealand, Norway and Portugal. In the UK, the Album opened at N°3, with first-week sales of 23,419. It also bowed at N°3 in Germany, N°4 in Scotland, N°5 in Sweden, N°6 in Finland, N°9 in Hungary and N°10 in France.

Korean Superstar Group BTS tops the Global Chart for a 2nd week with their top-selling Album 'Love Yourself 轉 Tear' after moving another 752,000 in equivalent sales. BTS is the first K-pop group to have two consecutive albums exceed one million in pre-orders in Korea! After its release, 'Love Yourself Tear' sold over one million copies during its first week, around 250,000 copies more than Love Yourself: Her, with BTS becoming the first K-pop artist to achieve this on the Hanteo chart since its inception in 1993, and making them true "double million sellers" (without repackage).


On May 27, 2018, the album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, earning 135,000 album-equivalent units (including 100,000 pure album sales), becoming BTS' highest-charting album in the US, as well as the first K-pop album to top the US albums chart, and the highest-charting album by an Asian act! It is also the highest Album sales week for both BTS and a Korean act in the United States, and the first album primarily in a non-English language to top the Billboard 200 since Il Divo with 'Ancora' in 2006.


The Album also went to N°1 in Japan on the Billboard Hot Albums chart, and has already reached Top 10 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK!


In just 10 days, 'Love Yourself 轉 Tear' sold enough around the world to push the Album to no.5 on the year-end list, becoming the 5th best-selling Album of 2018 so far!
