Drake's 5th Studio Album 'Scorpion', released on June 29th, scores a 2nd week atop the Global Album chart after selling another 455,000 equivalent sales including 335,000 consumption units in the US, 34,000 in Canada and 30,000 in the UK! The Album features 25 tracks with guest appearances by Jay-Z and Ty Dolla Sign and vocals from Future, Michael Jackson, Nicki Minaj and PartyNextDoor among others. Drake produced the Album himself with Noah "40" Shebib and manager Oliver El-Khatib. Scorpion was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) the day of its release and broke Spotify's one-day global record with 132.45 million streams in its 1st day breaking Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys record! 'Scorpion' also broke Apple Music's one-day record with 170 million streams, breaking Drake's own record set with 'More Life'.

 

'Scorpion' debuted at N°1 in the US, selling 732,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week, 160,000 of which were pure album sales, making it the biggest first week sales of the year! It also broke the country's streaming record with 745.92 million streams in its first week! All 25 tracks on the album entered the Billboard Hot 100 and Drake also became the first musician to simultaneously debut four new songs inside the top 10 of the US Hot 100, with "Nonstop" at #2, "In My Feelings" at #6, "Emotionless" at #8, and "Don't Matter to Me" featuring Michael Jackson at #9, and seven tracks simultaneously in the top 10 of the chart. With 335,000 album-equivalent units sold in the US in its 2nd week, 'Scorpion' has the best 2nd week performance for any album since Adele's "25" in December 2015!

 

The Album debuted at N°1 in Canada with 70,000 equivalent units and in the UK with 64,000 album-equivalent units. It has also gone to N°1 in Australia, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, and peaked at N°2 in Belgium, N°4 in Austria and Italy and N°8 in Germany!

"Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 feat. Cardi B tops the Global Track chart for a 2nd week. 

Cardi B's smash hit "I Like It" with Bad Bunny & J Balvin rises 2 spots to n°2 while Calvin Harris's "One Kiss" with Dua Lipa slips one spot from 2 - 3. 

Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left To Cry" rises one spot to n°4 and closing this week's Top 5 is Drake's brand new Single "Nonstop"!

Xxxtentacion's "Sad!" slips three spots to n°6 this week after his tragic death on June 18 while Clean Bandit's "Solo" with Demi Lovato slips one spot to n°7. 

New entry at n°8 for Drake's new hit "Don't Matter To Me" ft. vocals from Michael Jackson while his former N°1 smash hit, "Nice For What" slips one spot to n°9. 

Closing this week's Top 10 is DRake's top selling hit this year, "God's Plan" up 9 spots from last week due to the amazing success of his new Album 'Scorpion' which debuts atop the Global Album chart this week!

'Scorpion', the fifth studio Album by Canadian Superstar Drake rockets to N°1 on the Global Albums chart with 957,000 equivalent sales, the biggest sales week of 2018! All 25 tracks from the album charted on the Billboard Hot 100, and seven debuted in the Top 10, a new all time record! Drake's former studio album 'Views' also debuted at n°1 globally with 1,109,000 initial sales in 2016. 

 

J-pop icon #HikaruUtada debuts at n°2 this week with her 10th studio album 'Hatsukoi' and 242,000 equivalent units in Japan alone, according to Oricon. 

 

'High As Hope', the fourth studio set by British indie rock band #FlorenceandTheMachine, debuts at n°3 with sales of 180,000. 

 

New entry at n°4 for Gorillaz' 'The Now Now' and sales of 129.000 equivalent units in its 1st week 

 

Post Malone's 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' holds at n°5 after selling anither 111.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 2.108.000 since its release 10 weeks ago.

 

The late Rapper Xxxtentacion's '?' slips 3 spots to n°6 after selling another 109.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 1.278.000 globally so far!

 

Guns n' Roses' 'Appetite For Destruction' reenters the chart at n°7 with 89.000 equivalent sales and a total of 29.5 million so far while The Greatest Showman Soundtrack slips one spot to n°8 after selling another 79.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 3.748.000 so far!

 

Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' holds at n°9 with 63.000 equivalent sales this week and 12.251.000 so far and Cardi B''s 'Invasion Of Privacy' holds at n°10 after selling another 62.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 1.292.000 so far!

Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" tops the Global track chart after ruling last week's YouTube hitlist with over 52 million views! It's Maroon 5's 6th global no.1 after "This Love" (2004), "She Will Be Loved" (2004), "Makes Me Wonder" (2007), "Moves Like Jagger" (2011), and "Payphone" (2012). 


"Girls Like You" ends the four week reign of "One Kiss" by Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa which slips to N°2 this week. 


Xxxtentacion "Sad!" climbs two spots to no.3 this week after his tragic death on June 18 while Cardi B's "i lIke It" ft. Bad Bunny & J Balvin holds at N°4.
