especially in the United States. According to Nielsen Soundscan &
Billboard, the smash hit got 353,000 paid downloads and 84,4 million
streams in its initial week!
It's the second-best start of a song this year, second only Ed Sheeran's
"Shape Of You" which came out the 3rd week of January 2017. 'Look What
You Made Me Do' interpolates the melody of 'I'm Too Sexy' by Right Said
Fred (1991) and is the first Single from Taylor Swift's upcoming sixth
studio album 'Reputation'. It's only the 4th global number one smash
this year, after '24k Magic' by Bruno Mars (2 weeks), 'Shape Of You' by
Ed Sheeran (16 weeks) and 'Despacito' by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee (17
weeks).
"Despacito" slips to No. 2 in its 28th week on the chart. Its the 36th
Single on the ALL TIME CHART. 'Shape Of You' by Ed Sheeran is no.9 on

Josh Homme and his band Queens of the Stone Age rock to the top of the
Global Album Chart with their 7th studio set 'Villains' and 186,000
equivalent sales, 73,000 of which in the US, 32,000 in the UK, around
12,000 in Germany, 10,000 in France, 9,800 in Australia and 9,000 in
Canada! The band's former studio album '...Like Clockwork' went to no.2
in the week 25, 2013 with 196,000 sales, outsold by Daft Punk's 'Random
Access Memories'. 'Villains' is the highest of seven debuts in this
week's Top 10!
The second highest debut is 'Garakuta', the new Album by Japanese
singer-songwriter Keisuka Kuwata, frontman of the Southern All Stars
'Gaakuta' debuted with 178,000 equivalent sales, according to Oricon.
Lil Uzi Vert enters the Global Album chart at No.3 with his brand new
Album 'Luv Is Rage 2' and 157.000 equivalent sales this 1st week!
Xxxtentacion's '17' debuts at No. 4 with 118.000 equivalent sales!

Imagine Dragons' 'Evolve' closes this weeks top 10 with
62.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 928.000 so far
Noone can remove "Despacito" from atop the Global Track chart! Only
seven songs have lasted atop the chart for at least 17 weeks in almost
60 years of the Global track chart history: Bryan Adams '(Everything I
Do) I Do It For You' (1991) and Pharrell Williams 'Happy' (2014), each
scored 19 weeks at No. 1: The Beatles 'Hey Jude' (1968) was No. 1 for 18

South Korean boy band, Wanna One, are taking the world by storm with
their debut Album 'To Be One', at No.1 on the United World chart with
massive sales of 419,000 in its initial week (according to Hanteo and
Oricon). The K-Pop boy band is composed of 11 members: Kang Daniel, Park
Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai
Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon.
Kesha's 'Rainbow', the 3rd album by American singer Ke$ha, debuts at No.
2 with 155,000 equivalent sales, 116,000 of it from the US and 10,000

(according to the Official Charts. Ke$ha's former album 'Warrior'
debuted at no.16 in December 2012 with 113,000 sales!
