Joining Elton John, Lady Gaga was nominated for Outstanding Music Artist.

Nominated for her album "ARTPOP," Gaga joins Goldfrapp (Tales of Us), Elton John (The Diving Board), Tegan and Sara (Heartthrob) and Vampire Weekend (Modern Vampires of the City) in the category.

The 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards will be held in April.

Lady Gaga has extended her "ARTPOP Ball Tour" with a new leg of dates starting September 23.The new set of dates includes stops in Dublin, Paris, Vienna, Milan, Prague and Zurich.

In just over 36 hours, U2 helped raise over $3 million for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria by releasing their new song "Invisible" for free. It began on Super Bowl Sunday and for each download, Bank of America donated one dollar to (RED), an organization Bono cofounded in 2006 to combat AIDS.

During the game, the group debuted "Invisible" with a commercial and within the first hour of the ad's broadcasting, more than one million people downloaded the song. The bank continued to match downloads through midnight on Monday and in the process, surpassed its original pledge of $2 million. The bank has made a two-year commitment to raise $10 million for the Global Fund. Fans that didn't take advantage of the free window can now purchase the track for $1.29, with all proceeds still contributing to the campaign. 

Since its inception, (RED) has raised over $250 million dollars for the Global Fund, which provides testing, treatment and prevention services for HIV and AIDS to people in the world's poorest countries. "These are much-needed funds for the fight to end the AIDS pandemic in our lifetime and to get closer to the goal of eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV by 2015," said Deborah Dugan, CEO of (RED). 

Prior to the Super Bowl, Bono said that the track could be considered a "sneak preview" for the group's next album, but it is not the record's first single. U2 have been working the  follow up to 2009's No Line on the Horizon with producer Danger Mouse in New York City over the past year. Bono has estimated that the album will come out this summer.

The group released another new track, the Mandela-inspired "Ordinary Love," last year to accompany the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. The track won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song and it is up for an Oscar in the same category.

Japan's AKB 48 debuts at N°1 in the World's best-selling Albums chart with "Tsugi No Ashiato" and huge sales of 961.531 copies according to Oricon. AKB 48's last album '1830m' sold 870.621 copies in its first week. The soundtrack to the Walt Disney's motion picture "Frozen" returns to N°2 with 135.000 copies and last week's N°1, Bruce Springsteen's "High Hopes", slips to N°3 with sales of 131.000.

Beyoncé's album "Beyoncé" slips to N°4 with sales of 113.000 and a total of 2,52 million sales after just seven weeks on the charts.

Lorde closes the top 5 Albums at N°5 with "Pure Heroine."

New entries include Californian Group Warpaint, who debuts at N°24 with their self-titled album and 29.000 copies sold. Scottish band Mogwai debut at N°28 with "Rave Tapes" and 27.000 sales. Re total Album sales so far, "Recharged" by Linkin Park has sold 300.000 copies, "Halcyon" by Ellie Goulding 332.000 copies, "Night Visions" by Imagine Dragons 2,99 million copies, "The Heist'" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis 2,34 million copies, "All The Little Lights" by Passenger 1,48 million copies and "AM" by the Arctic Monkeys 1,26 million copies.

Everything Pharrell touches turns to gold. After the N°1 hits "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" both produced by and featuring Pharrell, the man himself goes to the top of the world charts with his first solo smash "Happy".

"Happy" is a song from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack album. The song was written and produced by Pharrell. It was released on November 21, 2013 alongside a long-form music video presented via the website 24hoursofhappy.com. The song was reissued on December 16, 2013 by Back Lot Music, under exclusive license to Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. The Single has topped the charts in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Netherlands and peaked within the top ten of the charts in Italy, Spain, Hungary and Denmark.

"Happy" has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The winner of this award will be announced at the 86th Academy Awards ceremony on March 2, 2014.

"Happy" ends the three week reign of Pitbull feat. Ke$ha's "Timber", which slips to N°2. Eminem feat. Rihanna's "The Monster'" stays at N°3 while Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" featuring juicy J goes up to N°4 and One Republic close the top 5 with their global smash "Counting Stars"
