'Hello' stays atop the list for a fifth consecutive week, after continuing to sell massively around the world. Thanks to the Release of her new album '25, another four songs enter the chart, 'When Were We Young' debuts at no.8 this week, Adele's sixth Global Top 10 success. 'Water Under The Bridge' goes to no.32, 'Send My Love (To Your New Lover)' reaches no.38 and 'Remedy' enters at no.40.

The other big star of the global chart is Justin Bieber, who blocks the no.2 - no.4 for a second week, 'Sorry' is still at no.2, 'Love Yourself' remains at no.3 and the former chart topper 'What Do You Mean?' follows at no.4.

Adele's sensational new album '25' breaks all records and debuts selling a historic 5,7 million copies globally. Never before has an album sold so much in a single week! '25' has sold a whopping great 3,377,900 in the US in its first week, according to Nielsen Music, 800,300 in the UK according to Official Charts, 263,000 in Germany according to Medien Traffic, 169,700 in France according to SNEP, 305,900 in Canada according to Nielsen Music, 126,100 in Australia according to ARIA and 46,000 in Italy, according to FIMI. '25' is the best-selling Album of 2015, surpassing Taylor Swift's '1989', which sold 3,44 million copies this year so far. On the decade-chart (all album sales since January 2010) '25' rockets straight to no.18. Adele's monster LP sold more than all other albums of the current Top 40 together. The only part of the world where '25' is not selling like crazy is East Asia. In Japan, the second-biggest market in the world, '25' sold 'only' 13,000 copies. In comparison with that, in New Zealand, a very small market, the album moved 18,800 units, according to RIANZ.

Adele's former albums '21' and '19' both reenter the World's best-selling Albums chart with '21'back in the top 20 at no.8, with sales of 75,000, and '19'rising to no.20 after selling 44,000 copies this week, globally.

This week's second highest debut is the first best-of compilation by Japanese pop phenomenon AKB 48. '0 To 1 No Aida ~ Million Singles' sold 628,000 in its first week, enough for a no.2 entry. It's the second album release for the girl band this year. The studio set 'Koko Ga Rhodes Da, Koko De Tobe!' debuted with 747,000 copies in the week 6, 2015 and sold a total of nearly 800,000 so far. It ranks at no.34 on the year-to-date list.

Last week's no.1 debut, Justin Bieber's 'Purpose' slides from the top position to no.3 (down 58% to sales of 346,000) and One Direction's 'Made In The A.M.'slips from no.2 to no.4 (down 73% after selling 209,000 copies).

With Adele's '25' about to go to No.1 in the Global Album Chart, Adele's single 'Hello'reconfirms its position at the top position of the Global Track Chart for a fourth consecutive week!

Justin Bieber occupied the next 3 positions on the Global Chart with "Sorry" still at no.2, 'Love Yourself'at No.3 and this week's highest debut on the chart! 'What Do You Mean?' slides to No.4. It's the first time since more than six years, that an act is three times in the top five of the Global Chart. After Michael Jackson's death in June 2009, his classic 'Billie Jean' jumped back at no.3 in the week 28, 2009, followed by 'Thriller' at no.4 and 'Man In The Mirror' at no.5.


It was the biggest chart-battle of the year! Canadian Superstar and idol Justin Bieber versus British boygroup sensation One Direction. And the winner is: Justin Bieber. His fourth studio-album 'Purpose' debuted with sales of 863,000 globally, 521,500 of which were sold in the USA according to Nielsen Soundscan. Another 77,000 copies are from his native country, Canada, 90,600 were sold in the UK 35,000 in Germany, 19,000 in Italy, 13,600 in Japan and 12,200 in France. Justin's 3rd Album 'Believe' opened also at the top position in the week 27, 2012 with 589,000 copies.

Almost exactly one year ago, One Direction's LP 'Four' shot in at no.1 with 881,000 sales. The band's new Album 'Made In The A.M.' sold 764,000 copies in its initial week and lands at no.2 on the Global Chart. The Album generated it biggest sales in the USA with 401,800 units, 93,200 in the UK, 44,000 in Canada, 42,300 in Japan, 35,000 in Germany, 29,000 in Italy and 24,300 in France. 'Purpose' and 'Made In The A.M.' are huge sellers, but noone has a chance against next week's monster release, Adele's '25'. Latest forecasts suggest over 5 million copies in its initial week, a unique record in the music-history! Back to this week's hitlist, new at No.1 in Japan and at No.3 globally is Japanese boygroup Kanjani 8 with their seventh studio set 'Kanjani 8 No Genki Ga Deru CD!!' and sales of 316,000. New at no.1 in Germany is the Xmas effort by Helene Fischer. Her last studio-album 'Farbenspiel' from 2013 sold almost 2,5 million copies so far, this new album 'Weihnachten' debuts at no.4 globally with sales of 130,000. French rock-legend Johnny Hallyday released his 50th studio-album.'De L'amour'debuts at No.1 in France and No.9 on the Global Chart with sales of 88,000. Johnny's debut album 'Nous Les Gars, Nous Les Filles' was released 54 years ago in 1961!

Some additional sales stats: 'Revival' by Selena Gomez sold 19,000 copies last week and reaches a total of 292,000 so far, 'Confident' by Demi Lovato sold 18,000 units last week, 322,000 so far, 'Honeymoon' by Lana Del Rey sold 17,000 units last week and has a total of 468,000 copies so far, the soundtrack to 'Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol.1' sold 2,356,000 copies so far, 'Rebel Heart' by Madonna 842,000 and 'My Everything' by Ariana Grande 1,694,000.

'1' goes straight to number 1 on the Global Album Chart after selling 175, 000 copies this past week! '1' is a compilation album by the Beatles, the World's best-selling recording-act of All Time! Originally released on 13 November 2000, the album features virtually every number-one single achieved in the United Kingdom and United States from 1962 to 1970 by the Beatles. Issued on the 30th anniversary of the band's break-up, it was their first compilation available on only one compact disc. '1' was a huge commercial success, and topped the charts worldwide. '1' has sold over 31 million copies. In addition, '1' is the fourth best-selling album in the U.S. since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking U.S. album sales in January 1991, and the best-selling album of the decade worldwide from 2000 to 2009.

On 6 November 2015, Apple Records released a deluxe version of the original album. Most of the tracks on '1' have been remixed from the original multi-track masters by Giles Martin, as the first three tracks are the original mono mixes. In addition to the new mixes, there are surround sound 5.1 mixes presented as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio in the Blu-ray version and Dolby Digital and DTS in the DVD version.

1+ also includes 50 promotional films/performances, plus commentary and introductions from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. All videos have been digitally restored and enhanced.
