'Rare'', the 3rd studio album by Selena Gomez, goes straight to #1 on the Global Album Chart with 186.000 equivalent sales including 112.000 from the US and 10.000 from Canada according to Nielsen Music/Billboard, and 18.000 from the UK according to the Official Chart Company. 'Rare' was released on January 10 via Interscope Records, and topped the Worldwide iTunes album chart and the Apple Music chart for 7 whole days. "Lose You to Love Me", was released as the lead single on October 23, 2019, and topped the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Gomez's first #1 single in the US. The album debuted atop the US Billboard 200 chart, becoming Gomez's 3rd consecutive #1 album in the US. 'Rare' also debuted at #1 in Argentina Australia, Belgium, Canada, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, and Scotland. It has debuted at #2 in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia and the UK, at #3 in Austria, Germany, Poland and Switzerland, at #4 in Ireland, at #5 in Denmark and Finland, at #6 in France and Italy, at #7 in Sweden and at #30 in Japan!

 

This week's 2nd highest debut of the week comes from Japanese actor, singer, and radio host Takuya Kimura, former member of the band SMAP. His solo album 'Go With The Flow' debuts at No. 2 with sales of 127.000 according to Oricon.

21 year-old rapper Roddy Ricch tops the Global album chart as 'Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial' rises 6-1 after selling another 111.000 equivalent units in its 5th week and half a million copies so far! Rodrick Wayne Moore, Jr., known professionally as Roddy Ricch, was born and raised in Compton, California. In November 2018, he released the mixtape, 'Feed Tha Streets II', which peaked at #67 on the Billboard 200 chart. In June 2019, Roddy collaborated with American DJ and record producer Mustard on "Ballin'" which peaked at #12 on the Hot 100 but his big break came in December 2019, when he released his 1st album, 'Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial' and it landed at #1 on the Billboard 200.
