Avicii's "Wake Me Up" remains at N°2 for a 6th week on the World's Best-selling Singles Chart! 

Avcii, the 24-year-old Swedish DJ was asked how it felt for a guy from an electronic music background to become such a huge force in the rock world. Avicii replied "Being a Rock Star 
IS AWESOME!" 


Avicii doesn't sing on "Wake Me Up" -- the voice you hear is singer Aloe Blacc and the song features some acoustic guitar from Incubus rocker Mike Einziger. Now play the video ... and good luck getting the song out of your head.....
 

Drake Kicks Off U.S. Tour and Enters Top 5

Drake is on a Role! This weekend he jumped from No.7 to 5 in the World's best Singles Chart with his smash single "Hold On, We're Going Home". Drake's new Album "Nothing Was The Same" debuted at No°1 on the US and World's Best-selling Albums Charts!


And with Miguel and Future in tow, Drake just kicked off his "Would You Like a Tour?" in Pittsburgh, Friday, October 18

He performed 29 songs from the new Album "Nothing Was the Same" and 2011′s "Take Care". His set also featured Wiz Khalifa and Jhene Aikok. 

Future joined Drake for “Honest”, “Love Me”, and “Same Damn Time”. 

Due to an unexpected technical issue, Drake's second concert at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia has been postponed until Wednesday, December 18th but all tickets for last night's performance will be honored for the new date.

Katy Perry's "Roar" is No.1 for the 8th week in the ARIA Singles Chart and the longest-running No.1 of the year along with Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines".

Katy also holds the record of longest run at the top of the chart for a female artist this decade, beating Adele's seven-week run with "Someone Like You" in June 2011. The last female artist to hold this long at No.1 was Kesha for her hit "Tik Tok" in 2009.
Avicii's "Hey Brother" has soared 12 spots to No.2. The track is the Swedish DJ's third top-five hit, joining "I Could Be the One" and "Wake Me Up".
At No.3 is "Bonfire Heart" for James Blunt.
Former X Factor Australia finalist Nathaniel's debut single "You" has risen five spots to No.4.
A joint tour for Pitbull and Kesha may have been cancelled but that hasn't stopped them making the top 5. 
The collaboration Timber has debuted at No.6. 
Redfoo drops back four spots to No.7 with "Let's Get Ridiculous", followed by Jessica Mauboy with "Pop a Bottle" at No.8.
Jason DeRulo's new track "Marry Me" is up six places to a new peak of No.9. This becomes his 10th Top 10 single.
Drake holds on to 10th position with "Hold on, We're Going Home".

KATY HOLDS FOR AN 8TH WEEK AT No.1

Katy Perry's holds for an eighth week at No.1 with "Roar" on the world's best-selling Singles chart and gains the longest run at No.1 for a female artist this year and the 2nd longest run at No.1 of all Artists after Robin Thicke who stayed at the top of the charts for 10 whole weeks this summer with "Blurred Lines" featuring Pharell and T.I. which is still the best-selling single of 2013.

"Roar" also holds an eighth week at No.1 on the Australian ARIA Singles chart, now 5 times Platinum, and has the longest run on the ARIA chart for a female artist this decade beating Adele's seven week's at the top with "Someone Like You" in 2011.

In The US, "Roar" is Katy's eighth number one hit, and gave her the biggest digital song sales week ever, breaking her previous record held by "Firework".

"Roar" is the lead single from Katy's upcoming fourth studio album, Prism (2013) to be released October 22. Composed by Perry, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee, and Cirkut. "Roar" is a midtempo power pop song. Its lyrics address standing up for oneself.

Miley Cyrus's "Bangerz" is top of the World's Best-selling Albums Chart with global sales of 399,000 copies. The Album is also N°1 in America where 270,000 copies were shifted there alone, 31.000 in the UK and 27.000 in Canada. This is Miley's fifth No.1 Album. Her first No.1 hit was the Disney Channel TV series first Soundtrack in 2006 followed by its big-screen film adaptation soundtrack in 2009. Miley herself notched No.1s with the half-soundtrack/half-studioAlbum "Hannah Montana 2/meet Miley Cyrus" in 2007 and then her own "breakout" studio effort in 2008! Her last studio Album, 2010's "cant Be Tamed" debuted and peaked at No.3 selling 102.000 copies in its first week.

This weeks No.2 is German Singer Helen Fischer with her 6th Album "Farbenspiel" which sold 137.000 units in its first week mainly in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark.

Last week's No.1, Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience Part 2",  slips to No.3 this week.

Drakes "Nothing Was The Same" slides from No.2 to 4 after selling 116.000 units in its 3rd week. The Album debuted at No.1.

Closing the top 5 is Vegas Rock Band, Panic At THe Disco, with their new Album "Too Weird To Love, Too Rare To Die" and sales of 101.000.

New Zealand breakthrough sensation Lorde slips from No.3 to 6 with "Pure Heroine" and sales of 89.000.

Metal Band Korn debut at No.7 with "The Paradigm Shift" shifting 87.000 units and Rapper Pusha T  enters at No.8 with "My Name Is My Name" and sales of 81.000.

Kings of Leon's Mechanical Bull" slips from No.6 to 9 with sales of 58.000 and Cher closes this week's Top 10 with her new Album "Closer To The Truth"  shifting another 55.000 copies!

New US entries outside the top 10 is The Glee Cast's new Album "Glee: The Quarterback EP" with 54.000 copies sold, Cassadee Pope's "Frame By Frame" at No.17 (45.000 Units) and Mayday Parade's "Monsters In The Closet" at No.25 (30.000 units).

New entry from the UK  is "Brand New Machine" by British electronic Duo Chase & Status at No.29 (27.000 units).

From Asia, Japanese Actress/Singer Miki Imai debuts at No.33 with "Miki imai sings Yuming Classics" and sales of 23.000.

Adele's "21" has real staying power and sells another 13.000 copies this week. The Album has sold over 26 Million copies since its release in 2011!
