Avicii’s Wake Me Up is one of UK's best-selling Singles of All Time! It has become the UK’s 140th million-selling single. The 24-year-old Swedish DJ and Producer’s track broke through the million copies sales barrier on Sunday, October 6. Wake Me Up is the 140th single to reach this milestone in British history, and the third track released this year to do so; Daft Punk’s Get Lucky featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, and Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines featuring TI and Pharrell Williams became million sellers in June and July, respectively.

Comments the Official Charts Company’s Chief Executive, Martin Talbot: "Congratulations to Avicii - hitting the million mark is a superb achievement for any act. It has been a fantastic year for smash hit singles with three 2013-released million-sellers already, and we can be sure that Avicii is not going to be the last millionaire of this year!"

Wake Me Up debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart back in July. It became the fastest selling single of 2013 so far, selling 267,000 copies during its first week on sale. Wake Me Up spent three consecutive weeks at Number 1, and denied One Direction their fourth UK chart topper (with Best Song Ever).

“Having the fastest selling record of 2013 is obviously a huge deal to me,” Avicii told BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart Show host Jameela Jamil. “I never thought being on the Official Chart was an option for my music. Dance music has its own things; we have our own charts and lists, so just having a Number 1 is insane!”

Sir Elton John’s double A-side, "Something About The Way You Look Tonight / Candle In The Wind" '97, remains the UK’s biggest selling single of all-time. It has clocked up nearly 5 million sales since its release sixteen years ago.

Drake's recently released album "Nothing Was The Same" is already a global success. The rapper's album has gone straight to No.1 in the World's best-selling albums chart after topping the US charts on thursday!

Drake's "Nothing Was The Same" produced the second largest sales week of the year so far. The album, which is the Canadian rapper's third studio album, has sold 658,000 copies in its first week in America according to Nielsen SoundScan and 794,000 copies worldwide thanks to the success of his global hit "Hold On Were Going Home." Only Justin Timberlake's album "The 20/20 Experience" released in March, outsold Drake's, shifting 968,000 copies in America alone in its first week. "Nothing Was the Same" marks Drake's third No.1 Album as well as his highest premiere to date. It has the best opening week of a rap album since Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV", which was released in Sept. 2011.

This week's Top 10 is the most star-studded this year but Drake outsold by far the other great artists including Cher, Sting, Kings of Leon and Elton John. Kings of Leon's "Mechanical Bull" entered at No.2 with 265,000 copies sold this week giving them their 3rd Top 5 position following 2008's "Only By The NIght" and 2010's "Come Around Sundown."

Superfly, a Japanese rock Act consisting of vocalist Shiho Ochi with guitarist Kōichi Tabo debuts at No.3 with "Best," a greatest hits Album shifting 157.000 copies in its first week.

At No.4 is the self titled Album of American metal band Dream Theater with sales of 98.000 sales.

Arctic Monkey's "AM" is at No.5 with sales of 81.000, while Avicii's "True" slips from No.2 to 6 with sales of 75,000. Last week's No.1, Jack Johnson's "From Here To Now To You" slips to No.7 with sales of 73.000.

Three Sexagenarians fill out the 8th, 9th and 10th places on this week's world's best-selling albums chart. Elton's 31st Studio Album "The Diving board" is the Singer's 18th Top 10 Album and opens at No.8 with 72,000 copies sold.  Sting's most anticipated Album "The Last Ship" enters the charts at No.9 with global sales of 70.000 and Cher closes the Top 10 with her 26th Studio Album "Closer To The Truth" after selling 68,000 copies this week. It is the biggest selling debut of her career after "Believe" in 1998 and "Living Proof" in 2001.

Britney Spears finally released  the world premiere of her new video ‘Work B**ch’ live on CW and Vevo!

Britney had been teasing her video for ‘Work B****h’ for months, and she had us all on the edge of our seats for the Oct. 1 world premiere — and it was all worth it!
Britney Spears posted a quick Instagram video previewing the video, followed by sexy stills from the “Work B***h” video on Sept. 26. Then, the video premiered on The CW and we could not be happier.

The song is set to be a huge hit in the dance clubs, and we knew the video was going to be one of our favorites. Britney looks back to her old self in the video, dancing on the desert, then in front of a car, and up against a mirror in a dance studio.

Justin's 20/20 Experience 2 Of 2 is out!

Posted on October 01, 2013

Justin Timberlake already delivered an incredible Album with part 1 of The 20/20 Experience, which, since being released in March, has become the bestselling album of 2013.

The sequel, recorded during the same sessions, stands as a stellar Album in its own right. JT's album sequel, officially out, 'creates a visceral listening experience,' one music critic writes. We had to wait seven years for new music from Justin Timberlake. But in less than seven months, Timberlake has doubled his solo album output, giving fans over 140 minutes of new material.

The 74-minute collection, already out in stores, is the companion piece to March's surprise 20/20 Experience, which already sold over 2 million copies!

Working again with Timbaland, as well as producer Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon, 2 of 2 is a further exploration into Timberlake's long-listen suite of sensual soul throwback disco and languid ballads, led by the dance-ready "Take Back The Night" and hard-hitting "TKO" singles. And, in keeping with his career-long tendency to feature carefully curated hip-hop cameos, it has verses from Jay Z and Drake.

Timberlake trades in the elegance of the first album for something more sanguine, more hedonistic. He sings of animalistic desire and lurid fantasies, exploring metaphors of boxing, blood and murder over tracks packed with spiky horns, jagged guitar riffs and unspooling synthesizers. The album's bottom-heavy production — as is also the case with his 15-piece touring band — creates a visceral listening experience.

The first half of Timberlake's Experience felt contented in its relationships, often celebratory; Part 2 is no less committed, but it addresses the darker, more warped impulses. Musically, the endeavor is as ambitious as anything attempted by the soul greats Timberlake clearly admires: Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Curtis Mayfield.
